We were walking to the park today when it occurred to me just how many parks / playgrounds we have within walking distance. I counted 9 parks that we regularly walk to...and that doesn't include the zoo, nature museum, school playgrounds, etc near by. That's just crazy! Yet another reason I'm so very thankful for life in the city. Our small courtyard has been wonderful, but with so many wonderful stops so near it forces us to get out, meeting with friends or making new ones. The slight downside: Chicago winters. Yes, I would happily spend January through March in Florida each year...with the retirees. You know, we could all just migrate together. If birds can do it, why can't we!
