Turns out Gabe's decided on a favorite animal...the infamous cow! He first went to the farm at Lincokn Park Zoo with a sitter, Amy. She said the cows made him cry, but that he 'moo-ed' the whole way home. We've gone a few times since for story hour and he loves stopping by to chat with the cows (in cow speak, of course). He's also developed a habit of mooing anytime we see cows in a book...and then throwing a fit if we turn the page and find no cow.
Since HF&M have has stopped sucking his thumb completely. I realize this will be wonderful in the long run and will do his teeth a lot of good. In the short run it makes sleeping and teething much more painful. I've been trying to find a new source of comfort...pillow...teddy bears...blankie...he'll have none of it. Avoids sleeping in the part of his crib where there's a pillow/blankie. So when we found this at the zoo and Gabe grabbed ahold and started mooing...how could we resist??? Let's just hope it doesn't land on the floor in the morning.
Gabe also thought he wasthe coolest hen he got to hang with daddy in the farm's tractor. We pretty much had to pry his hands off the steering wheel
