Our annual family pre-Christmas Day happened on Friday, Dec 19 this year. As we're traveling most holidays Ryan takes a day off and we have fun creating a few family traditions of our own. Here's Gabe the day before while I'm wrapping presents...thinking he's stealthy as he reaches for the gifts:)
'Christmas' morning in his favorite race car pjs. Was so much fun this year to see his excitement as he got to open presents.
Gabe's top gift: Lego's from daddy. Mommy's favorite: undies!!! Come now, that's an amazing picture.

Later in the day Gabe got the chance to use his first paints set AND 'help' Ryan put together his big boy bed! Not something he's interested in sleeping in quite yet, but he does have a ton of fun playing / reading in it.
Later in the day we headed out for hot chocolate and a trip to the Zoo Lights / Santa. No, it's not logical to visit Santa after we open presents...we'll figure it out next year. Turns out Gabe isn't really a fan of Santa this year.
